When I initially posted this, I had didn’t toggle comments from paid to everyone (Substack defaults reading and commenting to paid subs and I have to change it for every post).
Just learned that I forgot to toggle off “paid” comments only. Substack defaults every post I make to paid only for reading and commenting. Can’t seem to fix it on the app so I’ll have to do it when I get home.
That's a lot of well executed work, sir. Take a deep breath and keep crushing it. I've never made anything that large. I can't imagine working with stock that size.
That’s a cool joint. It must be very strong since it has so much gluing area. It’s also very cool to me because it won’t be seen - it’s there because it’s functional - it’s beautiful craftsmanship.

The dovetailed stretches are really nice!
Thanks!

Thanks! I definitely underestimated how physical it was going to be.
I knew I was keeping those tenon offcuts for a reason 😅
I also love the joinery on the short stretches.
Thanks! You never know when the need will arise.
